Day 1 London – Chicago
Fly direct from the UK to Chicago. Upon arrival make your own way to your downtown hotel. The remainder of the day is free to explore this great city.
Day 2 Chicago
This morning why not purchase some tickets for the Panoramic and Scenic Tour of Chicago. This is the tour for those looking to experience the vitality and excitement of Chicago. You will go through Chicago's main business section, one of the financial centers of the world and always bustling with activity. You will tour the famous "loop" and state street - the great street where Chicago's fame began. Travel by the striking Richard J. Daley plaza with its acknowledged masterpieces, the Pablo Picasso sculpture, created specifically for Chicago. You will take a ride on wacker drive, the double-decker thoroughfare that winds its way under the city. You travel over the Chicago River made to flow backward by one of the world's greatest engineering feats. You will see the famous, white Wrigley Building, Michigan Avenue and Chicago's elegant 7 level shopping complex, the renowned water tower place alongside one of the tallest building in the world, the John Hancock Center.
Day 3 Chicago
Your last full day in Chicago is at your leisure to explore.
Day 4 Chicago – Memphis
You’ll have the most of the day free before making your way to Chicago’s Union Station for your overnight train journey to Memphis Tennessee. Your train will depart at around 8pm and arrive in to Memphis the following morning at around 06.30am.
Day 5 Memphis
Upon arrival this morning in to Memphis you’ll make your own way to your centrally located hotel where you’ll be able to check-in early and relax and enjoy your first day in Memphis.
Day 6 Memphis
Today you’ll take advantage of your FREE Graceland Platinum Tour. Graceland, the ultimate rock 'n' roll pilgrimage, will take you on an unforgettable journey that showcases why Elvis is still the king. Step inside Graceland Mansion and follow in the same steps as Elvis himself as you enjoy an audio-guided tour featuring commentary and stories by Elvis and his daughter Lisa Marie. See where Elvis lived, relaxed and spent time with his friends and family. The Graceland Mansion tour includes Elvis' living room, music room, parents' bedroom, dining room, kitchen, TV room, pool room and the famous Jungle Room. Tour other great parts of the 14-acre estate, and finish the tour at the Meditation Garden where Elvis and members of his family have been laid to rest. Choose to visit Elvis' two custom airplanes, the Automobile Museum and four different exhibits on the Platinum Tour.
Day 7 Memphis
Your final full day in Memphis is free for you to explore the further sights and sounds of this great musical city.
Day 8 Memphis – New Orleans
You have an early start this morning to catch your 06.50am train from Memphis to New Orleans. On arrival at approximately 3.30pm in to New Orleans you’ll make your own way to your hotel where the rest of the day is at your leisure.
Day 9 New Orleans
Spend the day exploring one of the most vibrant and captivating cities in North America. One of the finest areas of the city is the French Quarter, here you can sample the atmosphere and buzz that generates from all parts. The architecture is stunning and the food and music even better.
Day 10 New Orleans
Today take advantage of the FREE Big Easy Jazz Tour and let your own ‘local expert’ share stories of how Bourbon Street evolved into an international destination for partygoers, as well as how the city affectionately known as the Big easy became the birthplace of jazz, the truly American music genre. After enjoying a set of foot-stomping music, you'll be enthralled by stories of jazz and the characters of this famous neighborhood, where some of the greatest sessions where known took place. And the party aint over yet – Bourbon Street will share another jazz set by a local traditional jazz band, viewed from VIP seating in the lush patio of Musical Legends Park. Take photographs alongside the bronze statues of some of the celebrities that have made New Orleans a music and entertainment Mecca. The tour concludes with your choice of a cocktail or café au lait and beignets, the local pastry. Then it’s up to you to decide when to call it a night!
Day 11 New Orleans – London
Make your own way to New Orleans airport to board your overnight flight to London.
Day 12 London
Arrive back in the UK after enjoying what was hopefully a fantastic holiday!
