Kangaroo Island Highlights Cruise/Fly, £275 per person - From Adelaide you will travel south through rolling hills, following the Fleurieu Peninsula coastline to Cape Jervis to board the 9.00am Sealink ferry for the crossing to Kangaroo Island. Arrive on Kangaroo Island and travel to Seal Bay for a guided walk along the beach amongst a wild colony of rare and endangered sea lions. Travel to Vivonne Bay for lunch. After lunch journey to Flinders Chase National Park, home to numerous native animals including kangaroos, wallabies and koalas. The tour of the park will take you to the rugged southern coastline for a walk on Remarkable Rocks and Admiral's Arch. Admiral's Arch boardwalk takes you down a rugged cliff face to reveal this spectacular rock archway, a natural nursery and safe haven for New Zealand fur seals. Southern Flinders Ranges Experience, £260 per person - Discover the diverse landscape and wildlife of the spectacular Southern Flinders Ranges National Park on this day tour from Adelaide. Your tour starts with a picturesque drive along the shores of Spencer Gulf, with the waters of the gulf on one side and the mountain ranges on the other. After morning tea, leave the main highway and travel east through Horrocks Pass. The plains spread out behind you as you climb high into the ranges. Continue into the Southern Flinders Ranges towards the country town of Wilmington. Next stop is Alligator Gorge, which is within Mount Remarkable National Park and is the premier natural attraction in the Southern Flinders Ranges. This spectacular gorge cut through ancient quartzite by the Alligator Creek, is easily accessible to visitors along a 10 minute walking trail. Visit the historic town of Melrose for lunch before traveling south through countryside and historic villages into the Clare Valley for wine tasting.
Dolphin Swim or Watch Cruise from Adelaide, £99 per person - After an early morning transfer from your city hotel to Glenelg, jump aboard 'Temptation' a high performance sailing catamaran and head out to see in search of local dolphins. You have 3 full days to enjoy your time in Sydney at your own pace. Suggested highlights include scaling the Sydney Harbour Bridge, touring the Sydney Opera House, learning to Surf at Bondi Beach or seeing the city from the skies with Sydney Seaplanes.
Day 6 Sydney to Ayers Rock
This morning make your own way to the airport ready for your flight to Ayres Rock. When you arrive make your own way to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the evening enjoying some dinner under the stars!
Day 7 Ayers Rock
Rise early this morning to watch the day break over Uluru (Ayres Rock). After breakfast why not join a guided walk of the base of Uluru & learn about how it was created from your guide.
Day 8 Ayers Rock to Alice Springs
This morning make your way back to the airport ready for your flight to Alice Springs. When you arrive into Alice Springs make your own way to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 9 Alice Springs
Why not wake early and join the Desert Awakenings tour (payable locally). Before sunrise travel by bus into the outback, where a light breakfast is served as the sun rises over Uluru. The tour provides an introduction to the natural and cultural landscapes of this remarkable region and includes a visit to Mutitjulu waterhole in the shadow of Uluru (Ayers Rock) and stops off at the Cultural Centre.
Day 10 Alice Springs
Today you will board the Ghan train which takes you’re from Alice Springs to Adelaide overnight. The Train departs at 12:45pm
Day 11 Adelaide to Barossa Wine Valley
Arrive into Adelaide at around 12.30pm. Pick up your car and drive the short distance to Barossa valley. When you have arrived check into your hotel and enjoy the evening at leisure.
Day 12 - 13 Barossa Wine Valley
There is so much to do here for your 2 full days. Williamstown - Just outside the town is the Barossa Reservoir with its engineering feat, the Whispering Wall. The wall has a remarkable acoustic phenomenon; messages whispered at one side can be heard clearly at the other end 460 feet away. Continue on to Lyndoch, perhaps stopping for morning tea at the Lyndoch Bakery, where the European influence of this region can be found in specialty breads and pastries.
After Lyndoch, there is an endless choice of attractions and wineries. On the road to Tanunda, stop at the Jacob's Creek Visitor's Center, 'home' to the famous wine and cellar door of the major wine company Orlando Wyndham. Other wineries along this road include Grant Burge Wines and St Hallett Wines, each known for their premium wines. The town of Tanunda is a delight, and a walk around is the best way to see its historic attractions. There are good country cafes, bakeries and antiques and craft shops along the street too. Recommended wineries on the outskirts of Tanunda include Peter Lehmann Wines, Richmond Grove and Langmeil. Drive to the town of Angaston via Mengler Hill Lookout for one of the best views of the Barossa Valley.
In Angaston, visit the Angas Park Fruit Company to purchase some delicious dried fruits, and the South Australian Company Store for a wide range of South Australian products. Both Saltram Winery and Yalumba are near Angaston, and a short drive away is the historic Henschke winery, also well worth a visit. This afternoon continue exploring the wineries of the region, perhaps visiting those near the town of Nuriootpa, such as Elderton Wines, Penfolds Wines and the Wolf Blass Visitors Center.
Day 14 – Barossa Wine Valley to Kangaroo Island
This morning drive to cape Jervis ready to board the ferry to Kangaroo Island. This drive will take about 2 hours 30 minutes. When you arrive in Kangaroo Island drive to your hotel and enjoy the evening at leisure.
Day 15- 16 Kangaroo Island
You have 2 full days here to enjoy this amazing Island. Take a stroll to the beach and relax with the sea lions, Kangaroos and the amazing birdlife or enjoy some fantastic cuisine in one of the many restaurants.
Day 17 Kangaroo Island to Adelaide
This morning catch the ferry back to Cape Jervis and then drive back to Adelaide where you have 3 nights.
Day 18 - 19 Adelaide
Adalaide is the state capital , renowned for its arts, cuisine, sports and shopping, Adelaide is the perfect pit stop for a few well deserved days off. Wander the streets of this vibrant European style, festival-thronged city or kick back on one of its glorious suburban beaches.
Day 20 Adelaide to London
Enjoy some breakfast before driving back to Adelaide airport. Drop your car off here and check-in for your flight home.
Day 21 London
Arrive back into the UK after an amazing holiday.
