Then spend the rest of the day discovering the Hunter Valley and sampling regional wines. Home to Australia’s oldest wine producing region, the Hunter Valley owes its fame to world class viticulturalists and fertile soils. You have 2 full days to enjoy your time in Sydney at your own pace. Suggested highlights include scaling the Sydney Harbour Bridge, touring the Sydney Opera House, learning to Surf at Bondi Beach or seeing the city from the skies with Sydney Seaplanes.
Day 5 Sydney to Hunter Valley
This morning drive across the Sydney Harbour Bridge north towards the Hunter Valley. On Arrival into the Hunter Valley, spend time at the Hunter Valley Gardens & Visiting some local wineries, boutiques & Galleries.
Day 6 Hunter Valley to Port Stephens
This morning continue your journey to Port Stephens. Port Stephens is the dolphin capital of Australia & home to golden beaches, picturesque inlets & fresh seafood.
Day 7 Port Stephens to Coffs Harbour
Your drive today will take you along the Coffs coast – dotted with cute seaside towns and white sandy beaches. Coffs Harbour is home to the iconic “big banana” & some of the region’s best golf courses.
Day 8 Coffs Harbour to Byron Bay
This morning enjoy some breakfast before driving the next part of your journey. Famous for surfing spots, laid back locals & alternative lifestyle – Byron bay is your next destination. Be sure to venture to the Cape Byron Lighthouse, the most easterly point of Australia.
Day 9 Byron Bay to Gold Coast
After your 1 night stay continue onto the Gold Coast, Queensland. The Gold Coast is famous for its beaches, surf, nightlife & theme parks. Arrive and enjoy the afternoon at leisure.
Day 10 Gold Coast
You have a full day here to sit back, relax and enjoy the stunning coast line!
Day 11 Gold Coast to Brisbane
This morning you will drive to Queensland’s state capital Brisbane. Brisbane is a lively & vibrant city with loads of attractions.
Day 12 Brisbane to Noosa
Noosa on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast is renowned for its year round swimming, alfresco dining & boutique shopping. After an easy drive from Brisbane, it is a perfect place to enjoy the Queensland lifestyle & climate.
Day 13 Noosa to Fraser Island
This morning drive from Noosa to Hervey Bay where you will board a high speed catamaran for a 45min transfer to the world heritage listed Fraser Island, the largest sand island in the world bursting with freshwater lakes, sand dunes & towering rainforests.
Day 14 Fraser Island
Fraser Island offers something for everyone; you can join a guided eco tour of the island, hire a 4WD and drive on the beach or to secret lakes, watch whales when in season or just relax with nature.
Day 15 Fraser Island to Brisbane
After breakfast transfer back to Hervey bay. Drive back to Brisbane where you have 2 further nights.
