Day by Day
Day 1 London – Washington
Fly direct from London to Washington DC, the nation’s Capital. Once you arrive in Washington make your own way to your hotel where the remainder of the day is free to relax after your flight.
Day 2 Washington DC
Spend your day exploring all the historic sights of Washington DC. Some of the musts include the Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument and best of the White House. You may also want to visit the great shops and fantastic restaurants of the Georgetown area.
Day 3 Washington DC
Your final day in DC can be spent visiting some more of the sights in the downtown area that include The Capitol Building, Martin Luther King Jr Memorial and the World War II Memorial. You will also want to explore the marvelous Smithsonian Institution that is made up of 19 separate exhibits that are located across the city.
Day 4 Washington DC – New York
Take your Amtrak train service from Washington Union Station to New York Penn Station that will take approximately 3hrs & 30mins. Upon arrival make your own way to your Midtown hotel where the remainder of the day is free to explore New York at your leisure.
Day 5 New York
Today you can enjoy a full day exploring one of the most iconic cities in the world! Take advantage of the FREE ‘Empire State Building’ entrance ticket which is simply a must do in New York. From the spectacular lobby all the way up to the majestic observatories, this is the iconic centrepiece of the city’s skyline. This visit will let you savour breath-taking 360-degree panoramic views of Manhattan, with birds eye views over Central Park, Times Square, the Flatiron Building, Brooklyn Bridge, the Chrysler Building, the Statue of Liberty and so much more. After that you could then take a horse and carriage ride around Central Park, enjoy a river cruise to see the Statue of Liberty and also visit the site Ground Zero Memorial. In the evening it’s time to head to Times Square and Broadway where the city’s famous nightlife and theatre options await.
Day 6 New York
On your last full day in New York continue exploring the sights of this cosmopolitan city. Why not take a trip to Chinatown, or the Brooklyn Bridge, visit the shops of 5th Avenue or for those adventurous enough why not take a helicopter ride over the New York Skyline. If you want to explore somewhere further afield you can also take a day trip out to Niagara Falls.
Day 7 New York – Boston
Take your Amtrak train service from New York Penn Station to Boston Back Bay, this journey will take approximately 4hrs. Upon arrival make your own way to your hotel where the remainder of the day is free to explore Boston at your leisure.
Day 8 Boston
Spend your day exploring the many different sights of Boston. You must take the Freedom Trail which takes you round the city’s many iconic sights and gives you an insight in to Boston’s fascinating history.
Day 9 Boston
The final day of your holiday can be spent shopping at Quincy Market or if you fancy it why not take a Whale watching tour or visiting one of America’s famous breweries – Samuel Adams.
Day 10 Boston – London
There is time in the morning for some last minute shopping or sightseeing before making your own way to the airport to board your overnight direct flight from Boston to London.
Day 11 London
Arrive back in the UK after enjoying what was hopefully a fantastic holiday!
