Holiday Overview

The delightful nine-day Golf Safari entertains the most discerning player with optional excursions for non-playing guests at all venues.  Golfers tee off first at Leopard Creek with non-golfers enjoying a game drive in the Kruger Park. Swaziland is the next stop with a game at the Royal Swazi Golf Club and a visit to Ngwenya Glass followed by an afternoon game drive in Mkhaya Game Reserve for the non-golfers. Next it is on to Zululand for game viewing in the Hluhluwe Reserve before the train heads for Durban. Tee off is at Durban Beachwood Country Club while other guests enjoy a city tour before lunch at the Club. 8 holes await at the Champagne Sports Resort in the foothills of the Drakensberg Mountains with a guided tour of the Battlefields a further highlight for the non-golfers. The train continues north towards the Pilanesberg Mountains, stopping at Sun City where players enjoy their final game and other guests enjoy a full day at this renowned facility before departing for Pretoria where the journey ends.

DAY 1

• 10h00 Depart from Rovos Rail Station, Pretoria.
• 18h30 Arrive Waterval Onder. Lunch, dinner and overnight on train.

DAY 2

• 08h00 18 holes of golf at Leopard Creek. Non-golfers game drive in the Kruger Park followed by lunch.
• 14h00 Train departs for Swaziland.

DAY 3

• 08h30 Tee off at Royal Swazi Club. Non-golfers visit Ngwenya Glass Factory, lunch and a game drive.

DAY 4

• 06h00 Game drive in the Hluhluwe Game Reserve, Zululand.
• 18h00 Arrive in Durban for overnight.

DAY 5

• 08h30 Tee off at Durban Country Club Beachwood Course. Non-golfers go on a Durban city tour followed by lunch.

DAY 6

• 07h30 Tee off at Champagne Sports Resort, Drakensberg. Non-golfers walk at Champagne Castle or professional tour of the Battlefields near Ladysmith.

DAY 7

• Day at leisure on the train.

DAY 8

• 08h00 Tee off at Gary Player Lost City Country Club, Sun City. Non-golfers explore Sun City and lunch at the Lost City CC.
• 15h30 Game drive in Pilanesberg Reserve.

DAY 9

• 07h00 Depart Rustenberg.
• 10h00 Arrive Pretoria.
